    LaShay earned her Master of Education in Marriage, Family, and Couple Counseling from Lamar University. Before pursuing counseling, she worked in elementary education, where she developed a deep passion for supporting children and families through life’s challenges. Her background in education has given her a unique understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the importance of creating a safe and nurturing environment for growth.

    LaShay primarily uses person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral approaches to therapy, while integrating additional evidence-based techniques to best meet each client’s unique needs. She believes that every individual possesses the capacity for growth, healing, and resilience and that meaningful change is possible when people are provided with compassionate support and guidance.

    LaShay is committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered. She is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate difficult seasons, strengthen relationships, and develop the tools needed to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
