    Hope Brown, M.A., LPC-S

Hope Brown is certified by the Texas State Board of Examiners as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. Prior to her education in counseling, Hope served in the Army Reserves and in community hospitals as a Respiratory Therapist. Counseling experience includes working in various settings, from private practice to non-profit work. Hope has also worked inpatient psychiatric care, where she ran groups for coping skills and chemical dependency. She routinely assessed those who dealt with chronic and new onset mental illness for their need for crisis care and stabilization.

Hope accepts individuals and couples of all ages, and utilizes child-centered play therapy with children. Her counseling approach includes elements of Person-Centered, Emotion-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral, and Existential therapies.  Most important is her belief that a strong therapeutic relationship is key to achieving growth in the counseling process. Hope wants to empower clients with the ability to realize their potential and know that their past does not determine their future.
